Volkswagen has launched the Vento facelift with the prices starting at INR 8.5 lakhs approximately for the base model in petrol (on-road price in Mumbai). The Vento facelift gets a lot of cosmetic upgrades. To begin with, it has a new front grille with three slate chrome grille that makes it look somewhat similar to the Jetta. The new fog lamps are similar to that on the Polo and this makes the front look a lot more premium and that of a bigger car. The alloy wheels get an upgrade and the tail lamps are LED too.
On the inside, there is a chilled glovebox, electrically folding mirrors and Sahara Beige interiors.
The Vento is available with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The petrol are 1.2-litre TSI with DSG and 1.6-litre MT, while the 1.5-litre diesel comes with a five-speed manual and seven-speed DSG as well.
The Volkswagen Vento engines produce about 103bhp of power on all three engines. The company has plans to introduce four new models in the next two years.
