Ford Figo Aspire to launch in August, bookings open
Ford dealers have started taking bookings for the Figo Aspire, which is due to be launched in August. The Figo Aspire is Ford’s first compact sedan for India and it will be priced at about INR 6-9 lakhs (on-road). One can book the Figo Aspire between INR 50,000-75,000 in Mumbai.
This compact sedan has a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine and a 1.5-litre DV5 diesel engine options.
The petrol is likely to be offered with a six-speed automatic option too.
The Figo Aspire will made in Ford’s new Gujarat plant and will be competing with the Maruti Suzuki DZire, Hyundai XCent, Tata Zest and the Honda Amaze.
The Figo Aspire comes with a range of features that are first in its segment, like multiple airbags, SOS calling etc. The higher trim levels get a mobile docking system, and the SYNC continues to be an important feature in the car. The centre console has a glossy piano black finish and the automatic climate control knobs and display has been changed. This is Ford’s first compact sedan for India is based on a platform that will share its underpinnings with the new Ford Figo hatchback too.
