It seems that Honda is looking at refreshing its Amaze and as per a report from IAB, it states that the Japanese car maker is looking at getting this done sometime next year. One of their readers Mr Ramdas has made a rendering of how the facelift version of the Amaze will look. It gets updated headlamps, thicker front grille and a redesigned front bumper.

The Honda Amaze was launched in April 2013 and since then it hasn’t got any major upgrade. A new variant was introduced that got touchscreen AVN infotainment system. Then there was the addition of CNG variant too, for those who need dual-fuel usage.

This will be the first update for the Amaze and the Brio might also get some of the changes as both are of the same family. The changes will be minor and we do not think there will be any drastic change. Honda will launch the Jazz in July and then there will be the Accord diesel too.

This April, Honda sold 2862 units. The Amaze comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces about 86bhp of power and the 1.5-litre diesel, which is the most powerful in its class with 98bhp of power and 200Nm of peak torque.

Both engines come with a five-speed manual, while the petrol also has a five-speed automatic transmission too.

Honda at the moment is working on increase its production in both its plants to add the Jazz to its current portfolio and reduce the waiting period on the City.
