Maruti Celerio AMT ZXi variant launched for INR 5.

Maruti Celerio AMT is now available in ZXi variant as the company celebrates the first anniversary of the Celerio brand in India. The Celerio has a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces 67bhp and 90Nm of peak torque and five-speed manual and AMT (automated manual transmission) options. The Celerio is also available in CNG, but it doesn’t get AMT. The Celerio ZXi AMT costs INR 5.6 lakhs (on-road in Delhi), while its ex-showroom price is INR 4.

The Celerio AMT until now was only available in lower variants, however now it also comes with ZXi also. The CNG variant is also available in VXi only and not ZXi. AMT and CNG do not come together. The Celerio will also be made available in diesel engine also, and this should be launched by July.

This will be a 793cc engine twin-cylinder mill that will produce close to 45-50bhp of power and it will return close to 30km/l.

Celerio ZXi AMT

The Celerio is a part of the company’s new generation vehicles and has replaced the A-Star and the Zen Estilo in Maruti Suzuki’s current portfolio. The next-generation Wagon R will come in two sizes, one the regular hatchback for five people and the second will be the compact MPV for seven people. Then the next-generation Alto has commenced testing on Indian soil. It will be powered by a new 658cc turbo petrol and 796 petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki is all set to get back its small car share market.
