Honda will be introducing the new-generation Jazz in July or end of June as the Japanese manufacture is working towards increasing its production capacity. The new-generation Jazz will be based on the City and it will be manufactured on the same assembly line. This will Honda’s card for the premium hatchback segment and it will be powered by a 1.

Honda Jazz will be one of the most spacious hatchbacks and certainly the most flexible too. Honda had phased out the Jazz earlier as it didn’t have a diesel version and it wanted to accommodate manufacturing for the other models that had a higher demand. The Jazz will get a centre console similar to the current Honda City and it will be priced between INR 6.5-9.5 lakhs (on-road) and will be a direct competition to the Hyundai Elite i20. At the moment there is no other hatchback in this price bracket.

The Elite i20 is selling about 12,000 units monthly.
