Tata Motors has been testing the Kite and recently, some new images of the Kite have surfaced. The Kite will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.05-litre diesel engine. The diesel engine will be the three-cylinder option of the Indica eV2 that is sold currently. The Kite hatchback and the sedan will replace the sedan and the hatchback. The diesel engine is likely to be one of the most fuel-efficient diesel options.

Tata will introduce AMT on the Kite, however there are even rumours of using e-clutch. If the Nano gets AMT, then even the Kite should ideally. The AMT might be offered on both petrol and diesel engines, as the Celerio petrol already has AMT. The Kite has been designed for the younger set of audience and that’s why the design of the hatchback will be a lot trendier than other Tata Motors’ products. The Kite hatchback and sedan are likely to be one of the most feature loaded and aggressively priced products in its segment. The sedan will Tata’s second new compact one and shall replace the Indigo eCS.

The car does look a lot similar to the ones that we had caught a while ago, however we have had shown some clear images of the interiors of the Kite. A lot of the materials on the inside are shared along with the Zest and Bolt. The Kite has the same steering wheel, it has electric mirror adjustment and even voice command system. The integrated music system has Bluetooth, aux and USB connecitivity.
