The next-generation Hyundai Elantra has been spotted in USA, as it was being tested. The new Elantra has a lot more mature looking front and Hyundai has sobered the exterior styling of this new Elantra. We had seen a glimpse of the new Elantra, which is yet to be showcased.

The exterior styling of the Elantra is a lot more mature than the currently sold version and even the interiors are inspired from the Elite i20. The currently sold Elantra has one of the best-in-class features and Hyundai will want to continue with the same. The Elantra is due to get a touchscreen infotainment system and even a lot more stylish and high quality interiors.

The new Elantra will be powered by a 1.

6-litre petrol engine that produces 177bhp, which is a lot of power for this engine size. The Octavia 1.8-litre petrol produces about 180bhp of power. The Elantra’s new-generation is still about two years away from being launched in India. Hyundai had recently updated the Elantra with a new model year. This one gets LEDs integrated in the headlamps and some minor changes on the inside.

Hyundai Elantra is available with a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options. It is also comes with a six-speed manual and transmission options too.

The current segment leader for amongst premium sedans is the Toyota Corolla Altis. Hyundai will be launching the ix25 this year in India, which will be its SUV against the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the Maruti Suzuki SX4 Cross.
