Tata Nano GenX image has been revealed officially on the company’s social media pages

Tata Nano GenX’s official image has been shared by Tata Motors on the model’s official facebook page. If you look at the front, it does look a lot different from the rest and it is the first proper cosmetic upgrade to the Nano. Since its launch back in 2009, it had the same fascia, however now there is a thin front grille and then there is also a brand new bumper with integrated fog lamps.

The side profile remains untouched, while at the rear there is a new bumper. The Tata Nano GenX will be the Tata Nano 2015 and it will have upgrades inside too. There shall be a new steering wheel (something a lot similar to the Tata Zest and Bolt), integrated music system and some changed on the dashboard too.

Nano’s fuel tank size too will be increased to 24 litres from 15 litres.

Tata Nano GenX variants

The Nano GenX will come in three variants XE, XM and XT. The top-of-the-line will get AMT (automated manual transmission) as well. This will become the most affordable AMT in the country, even less than the Alto K10 AMT.

The Tata Nano GenX will have a fuel efficiency of about 21km/l for AMT and the petrol should be similar at 25km/l. With AMT, driving in city is highly convenient and even stress-free. Tata Nano GenX will be launched in May and bookings will commence in the next few days. The on-road price for the Nano GenX AMT will be about INR 3.0lakhs in Mumbai and it will made available only on the top-of-the-line XT variant.
