Hyundai will introducing the MY15 Santa Fe in the coming few days just like the Elantra. The Santa Fe will not get any major cosmetic or mechanical upgrades. The difference in the Santa Fe will be the screen size on the centre console, which has been increased to eight-inches and also it now has satellite navigation in it. Also, free maps will be provided for a period of three years.

Now, one can even skip iPod and Bluetooth-streaming audio through the steering wheel controls, which makes it a lot more convenient. This makes it the biggest screen size in its segment and also a lot easier to use it.

The second major upgrade is that the Santa Fe now has automatic headlamps as a feature. This feature was missing on the Santa Fe for a while and now it will be made available on the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe is the flagship model for Hyundai in India and it compares with the Toyota Fortuner at least in pricing.

The Santa Fe will get the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 194bhp of power and comes mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This is the most powerful engine in its segment and it comes with an all-wheel drive option too. These are the only changes on the Santa Fe model year 2015. Expect Hyundai to launch the new Santa Fe in the coming month or two. The pricing won’t changed much and there could be a difference of INR 5,000-7,000.

We have done a detailed comparison of the Fortuner against the Santa Fe.
