Suzuki has launched the fully faired version of the Gixxer and christened it as the Gixxer SF. This bike costs Rs 92,000 approximately on road and is powered by the same air-cooled single cylinder 155cc engine that produces 14.5bhp of power and has a carburettor like the naked version.

As the weight of the bike has been increased, Suzuki has calibrated the engine for similar performance like the naked bike.

The pricing of the Suzuki Gixxer SF is a lot lesser than what we had predicted. Suzuki has added fairing mounted rear view mirrors and even a set of new turn indicators. The bike somewhat resembles the Hayabusa when we look at the fascia.

The Gixxer SF is available in three colours including the blue one which has the MotoGP styling. The bike has telescopic fork suspension for the front and the rear has an adjustable monoshock.

The front disc brake is 230mm thick and rear is still a drum brake. This bike somewhat competes with the Honda CBR 150R, but it has an advantage when it comes to pricing.

The Suzuki Gixxer has received a very good response in the market since its launch in September and Suzuki is optimistic about this fully faired version too. The recently launched Swish 125 too has been doing well and Suzuki has been increasing its market share at a steady pace. The other full fairing bike that was launched recently was the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. Read our detailed review of the bike.
