The Datsun GO will also be offered with ABS and a driver airbag very soon. The side pillars too are strengthened to add on to the safety factor. These will be passed to the GO+ and even the new product that Datsun is working on as its third model for the Indian car market. These safety features are more vital than other accessories that are on offer.

Nissan has been considering India as a very serious market and it has made India its new base for exporting to global markets. Nissan is looking at capturing 10 percent of the Indian market share, with five each for Nissan and Datsun. Nissan will be introducing a few more SUVs in India.

The Datsun brand was re-launched after a few decades with India being one of the key markets for the Nissan Group. Datsun brand works on building products that are locally made in developing markets to reduce the production cost and make it a lot more affordable. Datsun brand began its new journey by introducing models in India, Indonesia and Russia being the three important markets. Now, Datsun is looking at exporting to South Africa from India’s Chennai plant.
