Volkswagen Vento’s facelift will be launched in India around the festive season. This will be the sedan’s model year upgrade. These images have been spotted in Volkswagen’s Russian factory which are being circulated on the Russian social media website. The Russian website Vkontakte reveals the updates that Volkswagen has for the Vento.

The front reveals that the Volkswagen will give the front grille three horizontal chrome slats instead of two, which is currently available on the Vento. This will make it look a bit more mature and a lot more similar to the Jetta. The bumper has also been redesigned and round fog lamps are gone now and replaced with Polo-like fog lamps. The Vento’s fascia looks a lot more aggressive when compared to the currently sold one.

It still gets the same blacked-out headlamps.

The side profile of the Vento hasn’t changed much and the changes will be with a new set of alloy wheels. The rear also has subtle upgrades and it now gets a new chrome strip that runs across. The Vento will be made available with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that will come mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission, then there will be the 1.6-litre petrol that will come with a five-speed manual transmission.

The diesel with the recently introduced 1.5-litre that will come with an option of five-speed manual and also a seven-speed DSG transmission. Volkswagen has been upgrading the Vento every year with some cosmetic upgrades and last year the entry-level sedan got a major upgrade with the new diesel engine and transmission option.
