Hyundai had launched the Santa Fe in India last year and now the facelift version of this SUV was recently spotted by Carscoops. The majority of the exterior was heavily camouflaged, but we could notice some subtle changes. As one can notice, there aren’t any major upgrades on the exterior.

The Santa Fe gets a new front bumper, re-designed tail lamps and then there is also the contrast black roof, which is visible. The headlamp styling and the front grille will also be changed to give it a new fascia. Apart from this, almost everything was covered on the Santa facelift.

The interiors too have been snapped and it does look different. To begin with, a new larger touchscreen has been added on the centre console, which was earlier missing on the Santa Fe. Then there are those silver inserts too, which have been upgraded. The Santa Fe always looked stylish, be it outside or inside and with a bigger screen it looks a lot better.

With the powertrain for India, it will be the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that will produce about 194bhp of power and 421Nm of peak torque for six-speed manual transmission and 436Nm for six-speed automatic transmission.

The Santa Fe will get only cosmetic update and this should be launched in India sometime around mid-2016.

The Santa Fe was Hyundai’s attempt to enter the luxury SUV segment and the Korean brand has been performing decently, much better than the previous generation. Toyota’s new generation Fortuner might have also been launched till then.
