The power a car makes is very important when it comes to the driving experience and its capability. One also might think that the amount of money being spent on a car could be also very important and  The feel of power of an engine can be a part of how the engine is tuned. So here are some of the underpowered cars in India.

Ford Endeavour

Ford Endeavour

This car gets a 2.0-litre engine now.  The reason why we consider it underpowered because previously it had a bigger 3.2-litre engine. There is no lack of power felt during city use as the 10-speed gearbox does a phenomenal job. It could have done a better job with a bigger engine as the car has would be more fun to push and have additional grunt on the highway.

Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Although this engine is very fuel-efficient, it does feel like it struggles to pull the big car. The engine on this car is from the Hyundai Creta. We feel that the Elantra deserves a bigger 2.0-litre diesel engine as seen on the Hyundai Tucson.

Renault Kiger

Renault Kiger

The Renault Kiger is a car that comes with a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated engine as well as a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Although the turbo petrol engine is good the naturally aspirated engine is not quite powerful. The price of this car starts at a price of Rs  6.45 Lakh on-road Mumbai and goes up to Rs 9.60 lakhs. The naturally aspirated engine lacks the go in this car.

Hyundai and Kia

Hyundai and Kia offer the same 1.2-litre petrol engine on the Venue, Sonet, i20 and the Hyundai Grand i10. Although there is a slight different state of tune for each model it does not feel peppy against the other engines that are offered on these cars.

Renault Triber

This is a budget 7 seater car from Renault. This little sub-four meter car was made with space in mind using the Renault CMF-A architecture. This engine is not enough to take the load of 7 people and it does eat into the drive. The Triber was supposed to get a turbo petrol engine but that too has no signs of arrival now.
