Royal Enfield is working on new-generation Thunderbird and Classic but at the same time, they are also working on a short-term update for these bikes as well. There are about 24-48 changes being made at the moment. These include more powerful headlamp, better clutch, brake etc.

This will be a new variant that will be offered. This will be introduced sometime by year end adding more variants to the two bikes.

We love both the bikes form RE and anything that will improve them further is icing on the cake. The RE brand is looking at developing a new bike that will be targeting European and American markets. The company is also looking at adding several new dealerships too, not just in India but across the globe. With this updated models, RE will be looking at only variants that will be sold in developed markets at a latter stage. The Himalayan that will be exported will be a 410cc fuel-injection version with a six-speed transmission.

The new-generation bikes will be more powerful and shall have better quality for internal consumption. The engine power will be sufficient on them to cruise on European and American highways. The 410cc engine with fuel-injection will be powering the bike and also the 650cc twin-cylinder engine as well. The 410cc will be fuel-injection and it will come mated to a six-speed transmission. These will be offered only for international markets.

Of course the addition of ABS shall be made too.

This will be a modern day Royal Enfield that will compete with other global products.
