There are several new Tata cars that are to be launched in India in the coming few years. Tata Motors is on a launching spree and the company is looking at getting several new cars. As the Indian car market is growing, automakers are looking at launching many new cars and at the same tie, getting new generations too. The new-generation Tata vehicles will include hatchbacks, sedans and even SUVs. So what are the new products that Tata Motors will be launching? Upcoming new Tata car launches in India
Tata Nexon
This is an all new compact SUV that will be launched this year by Diwali. An all new SUV and the first small SUV for the company. Tata Motors shall be getting the new SUV on the X0 platform. This shall be under 4 metres in length and 200mm of ground clearance. At the same time, it has new petrol and diesel engines, new manual and AMT boxes too. In terms of interior there shall be a lot of changes too. To begin with, it will have have a new dashboard, new features, and more safety features on offer. At the same time, a new 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engines shall be introduced too. So, Tata Nexon will be offering better power and even better efficiency too. This will be priced somewhere about INR 8 lakhs to INR 12 lakhs (on-road). Following are the specifications and features of the Tata Nexon. Tata Nexon vs Maruti Vitara Brezza
Tata X451
This is a premium hatchback that is in the making. Based on the new modular platform. This will be competing with the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and the Honda Jazz. This will be a premium hatchback and shall be another exciting offering. With a length of under 4 metres, this will come with a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines on offer. This will even get new transmission as well. At the same time, there will new features too and likely to be one of the most feature-loaded vehicles in this segment. Tata Q501
An all new SUV platform. This will be raising the bar for Tata SUVs in India. Based on a Land Rover platform, this SUV has been built with inputs from JLR team and is being tested for India and other markets. At the same time, this will be getting a 2.0-litre Multijet Fiat engine. This will be manufactured in India and launched in several other markets to enhance the brand’s reach. Tamo Racemo
An all new segment the company will be entering. Under the brand name Tamo, Tata will be getting an affordable race car for the Indian car market. What will this offer? A stylish looking two-seater vehicle that has butterfly doors, mid-engine rear-wheel drive. An engine producing 190bhp of power from just a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine has been designed to have amazing power. There shall also be a six-speed AMT on offer too. This will be priced at INR 25-32 lakhs (on-road) and it will be launched by mid 2018. Tamo C-Cube
A small hatchback that has been designed to be technologically advanced. Tata Motors has signed up with Microsoft recently and the company is looking at getting this into production very soon. As Tamo is about getting products fast into production, we reckon this should be ready by mid 2018. Based on the new modular platform, the new car will be the first one on this one. Tata mid-size SUV
This will be another SUV that shall be based on the new Harrier platform, the same one that will be shared by Q501 also. This will be a smaller body and a five-seater. It will retain its off-roading capabilities and it will made for the global market. At the same time, this new SUV will be more powerful than the Nexon. A five-seater SUV to go against the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano.
Tata sedan
An all new sedan is also in the making. This will be a full-size sedan and won’t be a sub four-metre one. This is the second product that shall be made on this new AMP platform and will launched by late 2019. The engines on it are likely to be shared with the Nexon, but it is a bit too early to come to a conclusion.
