And considering the success of the flagship three-row SUV, Tata might be planning to bring in a 7-seater SUV based on the Sierra. Here is everything you can expect from this 7-seater SUV.

Looks
With the launch, the Tata Sierra became the talk of the town. And all the buzz was about the bold looks and iconic design elements carried over from the OG Sierra. Similar to the Harrier-Safari relationship, the Sierra-based 7-seater may feature a longer rear section than the regular Sierra, based on the same ARGOS platform. The signature connecting the LED DRLs to the vertically stacked headlamps is expected to remain the same as on the latest Sierra. Additionally, Tata might offer new alloy wheel designs, exclusive colour options, and unique badging for this new Sierra-based 7-seater.

Interior & Features
On the inside, this 7-seater is expected to draw inspiration from the Tata Sierra too. We can expect a similar triple-screen layout featuring a 12.3-inch dual-screen for co-passenger and main infotainment, while the driver’s display remains 10.25-inch. Other features will include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, a premium JBL audio system, and a 360-degree camera. Depending on the variant, captain seats for the middle row could also be offered, similar to the Safari, giving customers both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations.

On the safety front, the Tata Sierra has already proven itself by securing a 5-star safety rating. And on the same platform, the Sierra-based 7-seater is expected to follow suit, with features like Level-2 ADAS, multiple airbags, and electronic stability control.
Powertrain
Mechanically, the Sierra-based 7-seater is expected to feature the new 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine (158 bhp & 255 Nm) that debuted with the Sierra. This engine has been paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Other engine options remain the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (104 bhp & 145 Nm). Also being a larger vehicle, Tata is expected to offer the bigger 2.0-litre diesel engine (170 bhp & 350 Nm) with this SUV, from the Harrier and Safari lineup. At the launch of the Sierra EV, Tata also showcased the 7-seater version. This particular Sierra was built for safaris, but this might indicate that Tata is planning to introduce the 7-seater Sierra in an EV version as well.

Rivals
If launched, the Sierra-Based 7-Seater will be entering one of the fastest-growing segments in the Indian market. As with other Tata products, a variety of powertrain options will be the highlight of this 7-seater. That said, the Sierra-based 7-seater would compete against the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector. Also, not to forget the upcoming rival, including the Renault Duster-based 7-seater, the Bigster.
Expected Launch & Pricing
As of today, the official launch of the Tata Sierra-based 7-seater remains a mystery, with no word from the brand on the project. But given the market and popularity of the Sierra nameplate, Tata might bring this interesting 7-seater to the Sierra lineup. If this Tata were to bring this project to the Indian market, they might aim to introduce it by late 2027. Given the competitive market and the offerings this 7-seater has, Tata could price the Sierra-based 7-seater between Rs. 18 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
