Looks-

Many describe the Jaecoo J5 as pretty much identical to the Range Rover lineup. While that might be true to some extent, J5 have smaller dimensions than Range Rovers. The flat bonnet, squared-off window line, and upright A-pillars appear similar to those of the Range Rover family. But there are significant differences, such as the seal-off front grille with an active aerodynamic flap to cool the complex internal systems. To the rear, the Jaecoo J5 features the full-width connected bar, with LED taillights at the ends and JAECOO badging in between. This badging is expected to be changed to JSW’s version. Jaecoo drives on 18-inch alloy wheels, whose design could vary by variant once launched in India. What about the features?

And from these spy shots, we can identify the 13.5-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen system, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger on the back of the screen, a four-spoke steering wheel, front ventilated seats, cup holders, a large panoramic sunroof, and more. In addition to these features, we also expect the international specs’ features, like the 540-degree camera and ADAS Level 2, to make it into the Indian versions.

Powertrain-

Internationally, the Jaecoo J5 features two powertrains: a hybrid and a fully electric. The hybrid powertrain features a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an electric motor via Chery’s SHS-H system, producing 221 bhp and 295 Nm. However, JSW Motors might skip this powertrain, given the current fuel-blending and pricing scenario in India. The JSW Jaecoo J5 might get a 61kWh battery pack and a front-mounted motor. This setup is expected to produce more than 200bhp and offer a range of about 460km. J5 could also support DC fast charging up to 130kW. Decreasing charging time significantly.
