Looks-

One of the most distinctive aspects of the Ioniq 5 is its exterior design. And with the update, this is expected to remain true. The Ioniq 5 facelift will still have its signature pixel-inspired design. Some changes could be expected to the bumpers, skid plates, and alloy wheels, with a slightly revised rear spoiler as well. These changes are expected to make subtle visual changes to the Ioniq 5. What about the tech-loaded interiors?

Interiors & Features-

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is by far the most expensive Hyundai one can get in India. And it is truly defined when you step inside the Ioniq 5’s cabin. The Korean automaker is expected to bring some tweaks to the interiors as well. The dual 12.3-inch screen setup could bring some software updates. Inoq 5 is one of the most loaded EVs in the market; it will continue to offer ventilated and powered seats, a panoramic glass roof, Controller Over-the-air (C-OTA) functionality, a premium audio system, a head-up display, a wireless charger, ambient lighting and a comprehensive Level-2 ADAS package. On the safety front, the Hyundai Ioniq has already secured a 5-star safety rating from the Euro NCAP. What else?

Powertrain-

The biggest change on the powertrain front with the last update. That being said, we have seen a bigger 84kWh battery pack replacing the older 72.6kWh battery pack. With this update, the Ioniq 5 is expected to produce 229 bhp and 350Nm. Also, the claimed range is expected to go up with the bigger battery from 631km to 690km, further adding to its practicality. The Rear Wheel Drive configuration is expected to stay with the facelift as well.

Rivals-

In the premium EV category, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift will have to compete with performance-focused and luxury offerings. The major rival will be the class leader, BYD Sealion 7. The other rivals, once launched, will be the luxury badge leader BMW iX1 LWB, the rival from the sister company, the Kia EV6, and the newcomer, the Tesla Model Y. Which one would you pick?

Expected Launch & Pricing-

There is no official word on the launch of the Inoiq 5 Facelift, but with the tweaks, we can expect it by early 2027. With minor tweaks, an updated battery pack, and an extended range, we could expect a price hike of about Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Alongside the last update, the Ioniq 5 was priced at Rs 58.82 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and for the facelift, it could be priced between Rs 59 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
