The newly launched 7-seaters like the Gravite and the Triber facelift are taking on the affordable MPV segment with modern features. The major differentiating factor between the Rumion and Ertiga is the front fascia of the Rumion. And with the update, it could change even further. The Rumion facelift is expected to feature a larger front grille, inspired by other Toyota MPVs. Also, more revisions are expected to the bumpers and LED lighting elements. Further adding to the distinct character would be the new set of alloy wheels. What about the interiors?
Interiors & Features-

Inside the cabin, the Rumion facelift is expected to feature some major changes. First and foremost, the infotainment system can have a 9-inch or 10-inch screen. Along with the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the updated information could be facilitated by a 360-degree camera. Other features will remain: the one-touch up-and-down for the driver’s seat and cooled cup holders. Another addition could be the dual-zone climate control. Also on the safety front, you get 6 airbags as standard, and with the update, the Rumion is expected to score well in the BNCAP. Under the hood, Toyota will continue with the popular 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, producing 102bhp and 137Nm. But considering that the Ertiga will soon get dual-cylinder underbody technology, we can eventually expect it to be carried over to the Rumion as well. This engine is expected to be offered with the same 5-speed manual and 6-speed TC gearbox option. What else?

Even though it is almost identical, the Ertiga will remain the primary rival to the Toyota Rumion facelift. Whereas the other rivals could be more affordable sub-4-meter 7-seaters, such as the Renault Triber and Nissan Gravita. The newcomer might have a longer feature list, but with the update, the Rumion facelift could also be expected to give tough competition. With the larger cabin space and new features, offering a better package. Also, Toyota offers the superior standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km, which could be attractive for many Indian consumers. Which one would you pick?
Expected Launch & Pricing-
There is no official word on the Rumion facelift’s launch, and we haven’t seen one yet. But consider the competition, Toyota is expected to bring in the Rumion Facelift by late 2026 or early 2027. With the updates and changes being made, we can expect the prices of the Rumion to go up slightly, by about Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. That said, based on today’s pricing, we could expect the Rumion facelift to be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
