Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Engine

The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid will come only in a hybrid spec to India. It was expected to come with a diesel powertrain. However, contrary to belief, the Japanese carmaker will introduce a petrol hybrid version of the SUV. The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired to an electric motor. This powertrain will produce a combined power output of 179bhp. The hybrid motor will be mated to a CVT gearbox. The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid will offer better off-capabilities than the old model, as it sports an electronic 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system. This will be the first hybrid SUV in the country. The SUV will also feature Active Ride Control,  similar to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This system scans the road ahead and adjusts the suspension accordingly, as per the road surface. This will be a diesel hybrid powertrain, which means it will be highly efficient too.
