Known for its space, efficiency and reliability, this Maruti is expected to get even better with the new update. Curious what the changes will be in the upcoming Ertiga Facelift? Let’s discuss-

Looks-
The overall shape of the MPV is expected to remain the same, offering the same level of practicality. Some cosmetic changes might be made to give Ertiga a facelift; these could include revisions to the front grille, new, sleeker LED headlights, and changes to the bumpers. The simple, clean look of the Ertiga might get a modern touch with the facelift. What else?
Interiors & Features-

With the update, we can also expect some changes to the Ertiga’s interior. These changes might include a larger infotainment screen, an electric sunroof, and wireless charging. For the driver’s assistant, the automaker might also introduce a 360-degree camera. That’s it? Well, obviously, there is something that needs improvement in the best-selling MPV, and there is a chance it will be addressed in the upcoming facelift. What is it?

Safety-

Currently, the ongoing Ertiga is not particularly very safe, as indicated by its GNCAP rating. Not to forget that various other Marutis have been criticised based on their safety ratings. But just as other Maruti models scored better in NCAP testing, the Ertiga facelift is expected to follow suit and put the criticism aside.
Powertrain-

Under the hood, the famous fuel-efficient 1.5-litre petrol engine is expected to be offered with the facelift as well. This engine is currently offered in a pure petrol variant with smart hybrid tech, as well as a petrol+CNG variant, producing about 102 bhp and 136 Nm. The gearbox option could also remain the same, with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AT. Even though the engine and gearbox could be the same, there might be changes to the powertrain, featuring the much-anticipated underbody CNG technology, which could also be introduced in the upcoming Ertiga facelift.

Rivals-
Even though the Ertiga has been out-selling its competitor for years now, the MPV market is evolving. We have witnessed the launch of affordable 7-seaters in the market, featuring the Renault Triber and Nissan Gravite, which could rival the Ertiga facelift. Not just these, the tech-loaded Kia Carens Clavis is also in the competition for the most value-for-money 7-seater in the country.
Expected Launch & Pricing-
There is no official word on the launch date of the Ertiga facelift, but with the other Maruti car facelift test mules being spotted, we can expect it by the end of 2026 or early 2027. The current-generation Ertiga is priced between Rs 10.24 lakh and Rs 15.22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the possible cosmetic updates and safety improvements, the Ertiga facelift might be introduced with a price hike of about Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000.
