Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift-

Ever since the launch, the Scorpio N has become one of the best-selling models for the Indian automaker. This SUV has to carry forward the iconic “Scorpio” nameplate, which it has done very well. Even got itself a new tagline of the “Big Daddy Of SUVs” in the Indian SUV space. With the test mules being spotted earlier this year, we can identify certain changes to the existing, and here are they-

Exteriors-

The big SUV silhouette of the Scorpio, featuring a ladder-on-frame chassis, is to remain largely the same. But some changes could be made to the front fascia, including adjustments to the lighting and minor revisions to the bumpers. Also, in the spy shots, we can identify the 18-inch alloy wheels, which are similar to those we saw on the Alturas a few years back.
Interiors-

The more significant changes can be observed inside the cabin. The test mule was spotted with a floating 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which could be part of the upcoming Scorpio N facelift. In addition, this can have a panoramic sunroof, redesigned AC vents, ventilated seats and more.

Powertrain-

Under the hood, the Scorpio is expected to retain the same fun-to-drive character, with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol (200bhp & 380Nm) and 2.2-litre diesel engine (172bhp & 400Nm). The gearbox options remain the same, featuring a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. And to tackle tough terrain and prove its ruggedness, unlike modern fake SUVs, this comes with a 4×4 powertrain. In addition, there are options to choose from various drive modes, including zip, zap, and zoom.
Rivals-
The Scorpio N is a good blend of a rugged off-road tackling machine with 4×4 options and a decently long feature list to keep you comfortable in your day-to-day. With that being said, the direct competitor will be the Mahindra Thar Roxx itself, which shares the same platform as the Scorpio N. Other competitors, depending on the available seating option, include the Mahindra 7XO, Tata Safari, and many more.
Expected Launch & Prices-
The official launch dates are still under wraps, but the test mule already on Indian roads suggests the Scorpio N will soon hit the market. We can expect it to be here by August 2026. With the current generation of the Scorpio N priced between Rs 16.20 lakh and Rs 30.42 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the facelift with its updated design is expected to command a slight premium over current prices. Making the Scropio N to be priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). What do you think about this upcoming Scorpio Facelift?
