All-New Hyundai Elantra

The all-new Elantra is based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0., which underpins the current generation Hyundai cars. The Elantra has a sleek profile with clean surfaces and quite a bold front end. A large hexagonal grille dominates the front and is supported by stylish elongated, wrap-around headlamps.

It has a prominent shoulder line across the sides, new C-pillar design, and 16-inch alloy rims, and the rear has a well integrated bumper and large tail lamps with smart LEDs,  Reports suggest that the body of the new Elantra is one of the most aerodynamic in its segment, with a very low drag coefficient.

The interior design on the car is pretty simplistic and clean. It has a chunky 3-spoke steering with multi-function controls, new instrument dials, silver garnish on the dashboard aluminium pedals. It is also equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Bluetooth connectivity and Navigation.

The New Elantra shall be unveiled in November this year and will go on sale in 2016. It will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine that produces 177bhp, which is a lot of power for this engine size. The all-new Hyundai Elantra will be launched in 2016, globally.

Hyundai has recently launched a minor facelifted version of the Elantra in 2015, so expect the all new Elantra to come to India only by late 2016 or early 2017.
