Toyota is working on a range of new vehicles for the Indian car market. The company has already introduced the new Innova Crysta and the new Fortuner. What are the upcoming new Toyota cars in India? Upcoming new Toyota cars in India

Toyota Prius

This is the company’s most successful hybrid vehicle ever. Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Prius has been launched globally in its new avatar. We expect the new Prius to make it to India as well, very soon. The new Toyota Prius looks sporty, aggressive and mean. This is a lot different from its predecessor as it has new styling, appealing design, something the Prius was never known for. The new Prius will attract more young buyers. This Toyota Prius is more about style, design, performance and at the same time even efficiency, lower carbon emissions. The new 1.8-litre has been made from a clean sheet of paper. The electric motor is now more compact and even more efficient. Prius now has an efficiency of 40km/l in some of the driving cycles in certain countries.

Toyota Corolla Altis 2017

The Toyota Corolla Altis has got an upgrade. The Corolla Altis now looks more sporty. This sedan doesn’t just look appealing but even stylish. The Corolla Altis comes with more features that are offered on the competition. This will help Toyota to get back some of the loyal buyers who are thinking to purchase the new Elantra. The Elantra gets more features than the current Altis and Toyota will soon get the feature loaded one. For India, Toyota will now offer more bells and whistles on the Corolla Altis 2017. This is the highest selling sedan in its segment for more a decade now, so this is one of the hottest upcoming Toyota cars in India.

Toyota Rush

This is an SUV. An affordable SUV. This will compete against the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the new upcoming SUVs in this segment. Toyota Rush will be making its way into India with a new petrol and diesel engine on offer. This will help the company to enhance its growth in this segment. Toyota has been a strong player in UVs in India and this will be the entry level Toyota UV for India. With the launch of this new SUV, Toyota will boost its sales. The launch date of this new SUV hasn’t been confirmed, but this will be the hottest of all the upcoming new Toyota cars in India.

Toyota Vios

Another vehicle, which has many eyes embedded on it. The new Toyota Vios, a sedan that will be competing with the Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Ciaz.

The new Vios will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine. The Vios will come embellished with several features that will make it competitive and a better deal than the competition. This will be offered with a petrol automatic as well. The Vios will be a premium sedan that will be making its way into India by 2018.

Daihatsu Brand

Toyota has plans to get the Daihatsu brand to India. This will be making the more affordable cars, while Toyota will stick to being a more premium brand. As per the current plan, a compact SUV and an affordable hatchback will be amongst the first to be launched in India. Daihatsu will be making all new products and these will be Made in the company’s Indian plant itself. The Daihatsu brand will operate independently. However, it will be using the same Toyota plant. The dealerships for Daihatsu will be different. Toyota is looking at increasing its reach in the market with this new brand. Daihatsu will make it into production in India by 2019. This will be a whole new brand with many Upcoming new Toyota cars in India.
