Kia Carnival 2022
The Kia Carnival also known as the Sedona in the American and European car market is now coming with its fourth generation Carnival. For us, in India, it’s the second generation which we have seen so far. Kia had launched Carnival in India in February of 2020. Now, there is a new generation of Carnival that is available in the international market. With the launch of the new generation Kia Carnival, Kia now calls it GUV (Grand Utility Vehicle). The Carnival is said to be one of the most spacious and luxurious MPV in the market.
The price of the new Kia Carnival is said to be around Rs 26 to 30 lakh (ex-showroom). But this could increase after its launch. This car will be available for sale in India in the first half of 2022.
The Carnival is made to look aggressive as an MPV with a stance and commanding presence of an SUV. The strong tiger-nose grille and wide stance paired with geometrically contoured LED headlights make this car more aggressive in its looks.
The wheel arches and shoulder line combines with a sharp roofline with stylish roof rails make it look more like an SUV at the same time making it more spacious and comfortable for the passengers inside.
The rear LED lights run from left to right of the car blending in the design and keeping it clean. The spoiler hosts a wiper for the rear windshield which is not visible unless it’s in use.
The interiors of the car are loaded with features and tech. As soon as you enter the cabin, you cannot miss the digital instrument console and the infotainment system that nearly occupy more than half of the dashboard. The instrument console is 12.5-inch add to it another 12.5-inch of the infotainment system console. You can really call it a panoramic console. Steering mounted controls and a start-stop push-button are also provided as standard across all variants. There is wireless charging along with two fast charging ports and a normal USB port in the front. Deep glove box to store your documents and things that you need handy. There is a 12-way power driver's seat including four-way lumbar support and up to two memory settings, store your preferred outside mirror and driver seat positions. The door and the tailgate open by pressing a button on the key. You can adjust the height and speed at which the tailgate opens using the settings provided on the infotainment system. You can have various seat combinations from seven-seater, nine-seater, and eleven-seater although the eleven-seater makes it feel more like a bus and too cluttered. The best combination is to go for a seven-seater option which gives you ample space both for passengers as well as luggage. The second row and the third row get AC vents. There are sunshades for all windows. Second-row passengers also get two 10-inch multimedia entertainment screens.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Avoidance Assist (BCA), segment-exclusive Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Parking Distance Warning-Reverse (PDW-R), Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA-R), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) with Lane Following Assist (LFA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Surround View Monitor (SVM)
