Honda is looking at adding new engines to its line-up and this will be the first time that Civic for India will be getting a diesel engine. Tata Nexon
Launch Date: Early 2017
Tata Motors will be launching its new Nexon compact SUV for the Indian car market. This will be the company’s first compact SUV that will be priced at INR 7 lakhs to INR 11 lakhs. Tata Motors will be launching this against the Ford Ecosport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Mahindra Nuvosport. What is so special about this SUV? Renault RBC
Launch Date: Mid 2017
The Renault RBC is a MUV that will be competing with the Maruti Ertiga. This will be launched in 2017. Renault is working on a CMF-A+ platform, which is an extended version of the CMF-A to hold bigger engines and build larger vehicles. Volkswagen Tiguan
Launch Date: Early 2017
The Volkswagen Tiguan will be launched in early 2017. This will be a five-seater SUV that will be competing with the Skoda Yeti and the Hyundai Tucson. Volkswagen is looking at reviving its Indian product portfolio and increasing its reach with the new generation products from the company. Hyundai Verna 2017
Launch Date: Mid 2017
Hyundai is working on a new-generation Verna, which is due to be launched in 2017. This will be an all new vehicle based on a new chassis. The new Verna will be sporty and it will have good driving dynamics too. Jeep Compass
Launch Date: Late 2016/ Early 2017
Jeep will be launching the new compact SUV that will be Made-In-India. This will be the company’s first product that will be manufactured in India’s Ranjangaon plant. The new Jeep will come with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The company will even use a nine-speed ZF transmission as well. Nissan X-Trail

Nissan has globally launched the X-Trail, and this will soon embark on an Indian journey as well. The luxurious SUV will be the first hybrid SUV for India, and it will be launched sometime towards the second half of 2016. The Nissan X-Trail will be the company’s new-generation SUV and one of Nissan’s best sellers in Europe. The upcoming SUV for India will have seven seats, unlike the previous one that had five only. Volkswagen Passat GTE

The Volkswagen Passat GTE will be launched in India in 2017. Volkswagen Passat’s new-generation is making its way into India, however this time it will be green (plug-in hybrid). With this new sedan, Volkswagen will not just attract its existing loyalists, which are niche but at the same time it will even offer a lot better fuel-efficiency too. Mahindra XUV500 hybrid

Though, as this is likely to be a CBU (complete body unit import), we doubt if the pricing will be on the more value for money side.
