Tata Nano Electric Launch, Price and Features

Tata Nano Electric has been spotted on test for the first time.

The electric version of the Nano has the same looks and it has been testing in Pune for a while. Since, the introduction of the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles) scheme, there has been an acceleration in the sales of electric and hybrid vehicles. The government has been offering subsidy on hybrid and electric vehicles.

There has been a further reduction in taxes for these kind of vehicles.

Tata Nano Electric Exterior

There won’t any major difference in the design elements of the Nano electric and the Nano. It will continue with the same humanity grille and there will some changes in the design as the Nano itself will get some updates to match with the Impact design. The side profile will remain the same, while even the ret gets some updates also. The Nano electric will be getting a plug-in socket on the left hand side.

Tata Nano Electric Interior

On the inside, the Nano will get an all new dashboard that will be inspired from the Tiago. Most of the elements will be shared with the Tiago and this will mean it will look upmarket and much better than the competition. This will be a five seater hatchback that will have the same space as the Nano. There will a much larger boot also as the Nano won’t have an engine and even the boot won’t become hot that easily.

Tata Nano Electric Range

Expect the Nano electric to have a range of 100 kms. This is the range the company will be targeting. Below that, it will be too low for a buyer to considering procuring one.

Tata Nano Electric Motor

Tata Nano will have get some of the technology from Tata’s Ace that has been designed with an electric engine. The Nano electric will be majorly targeting to be sold in American factories to drive around. Tata Motors always had a plan to sell it there, however the plans never took off.
