With INR 1.5 lakhs being the average cost of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 this is not exactly a cheap bike. This is a premium being paid for technology which is still being used since genesis. There are competition bikes making more power, despite their smaller engine displacement. However, the classic charm of RE still sells.

This is a big engine and it is disheartening to see Royal Enfield generate only 19.80 bhp from it. Typical of Royal Enfield bikes, the stroke is a long 90 mm that provides the much loved thump. The 5-speed gearbox seems adequate for this bike. Royal Enfield again focuses on the huge torque of 28Nm which makes riding a breeze by reducing gear shifts. You won’t have the issue of bike stalling incase you slow down in an emergency situation.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 appealing. There is no doubt that Royal Enfield has made this one as an attention seeker. It is hard to find someone who is not fascinated by the classic age old design of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Pan-Head styled headlamps with pilot lamps on either side. Typical old-school teardrop style fuel tank. The front and rear mud guard the covers almost half the circumference of both the wheels. Icing on the cake is the rider’s seat comes with springs. This is also a comfort quotient beside aesthetics. Looks is one of the major reasons for the Royal Enfield Classic 350 to sell high volumes.

Over the years the RE Classic 350 has earned to the reputation of being much more reliable than its bigger sibling, the 500 thus making it the obvious choice. The wide handlebars make it easy in traffic too. The seating posture as always been comfortable for almost all Enfields. The broad seat provides good comfort on long runs. Now, when compared to modern generation bikes, it is simply no match in terms of handling. However what goes in favour of it is the straight line stability, which is good. The brakes also do a good job, though not the best out there.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 continues to charm buyers, be it experienced ones or even first timers. Though it is outclassed in many areas by competition, when it comes to performance, the RE Classic 350 has its own aces. The classic look and the legendary thump it comes with, is not available with any other motorcycle from competition. Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS launched!
Royal Enfield came to India in 1955 and partnered with Madras Motors to form Royal Enfield India. The cult following has only grown over the year and now only sky seems to be the limit. In 2009 R.E decided to launch a retro looking motorcycle. The Classic 350 and Classic 500 was the answer to that. This was a bike I used to read and ogle about in college days hoping to buy it someday as I knew I could never afford a Harley Davidson. The 350 a carburettor and the 500 being a fuel-injection. This is one design that gives a complete nostalgic feel with a pan head kind of design. Even so that it started to appeal more to the Bullet loving fans. With the age old design which is lovable but R.E still gives us an age old technology. And the need and cries for something new seem to only fall on deaf ears. With new colours R.E plan to give the waiting customers same old work in a new package and it still seems to work. The long waiting period is only proof.
