Honda City 2017 Engine

2017 Honda City petrol engine

The engines remain the same and this is not a bad thing at all.  The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine churns about 118bhp of power and 145Nm of maximum torque. The petrol comes with a five-speed manual and CVT also. This engine has been updated on multiple occasions and is one of the most refined engines around. Drive it in city or on the highway, you will not feel short of the pick up. Overtaking is very easy and you will not need to change gears very often. Another important aspect is the ease of driving in city. The clutch is light, the gear box is slick and easy to shift.

The second one is a 1.5-litre too, but this is the i-DTEC diesel that produces close to 98bhp of power and 200Nm of maximum torque. This oil burner comes only with a six-speed manual transmission. It is an aluminium engine and this is what makes it light. However, it is quite noisy. This is the only downside of this engine.
