Bajaj Avenger 150 Street Design
The Bajaj Avenger 150 looks identical to the Avenger 220 Street. Only difference is the colour. The Avenger 150 comes in dark blue and red colours. In the Street avatar, it gets black elements rather the chrome ones.

A short handlebar, black alloy wheels, chunky grab rail and even new badging, differentiate it.
The Avenger 150 gets a new instrument pod. An LCD comes in for the odo and trip meters. The indicators now are flexible and are more durable too. The tank console that houses the fuel gauge and tell-tale lamps is also black in colour. The fuel tank lid remains in chrome and adds some flavour. The clear lens indicators look good and go well with the overall styling. The taillamp could have been given a modern touch like an LED. Styling wise there is hardly any difference between the Street 220 and Street 150, except that the 150 comes in a dark blue shade with yellow stripes on the tank and panel, whereas the 220 comes in matte black colour with red accents.
The 150 Street can be easily differentiated from the 220 because of the colours it comes in. Bajaj has worked its way up and this new engine and bike design.

Bajaj Avenger 150 Street Engine
The Avenger 150 gets a new engine which is a 149cc unit developing 14bhp@9000 rpm and a torque of 12.5Nm@6500 rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Smooth and linear acceleration is the highlight of this engine. The Avenger 150 engine is butter smooth and we liked it more than the 220cc in terms of refinement. Quite impressive!
The Street 150 fires up quickly and settles to a soft idle. The switchgear quality is good and easily one of the best in the segment. The engine is very refined and to be true, it was quite a surprise. Bajaj has put in efforts for improving this engine and it really shows. The motor is silky smooth and provides brisk acceleration.

It also has very good punch and performance wise it is up there with most 150cc bikes in the country, despite having the highest kerb weight of 148 kgs. I did not notice any lag in acceleration that one would imagine on a heavier bike. The gear shifts are smooth as well.

Bajaj Avenger 150 Street Ride and Handling
The Avenger 150 Street is best enjoyed cruising at around 80-90 km/hr. The engine feels relaxed and can ride in that fashion even for long distances. Having said that, the Avenger 150 Street also makes for an excellent city commuter. The shorter, flatter handlebar and absence of the rear backrest makes it quite easy to maneuver. Its not exactly a ‘corner diving’ machine but can take bends with ease and can be actually enjoyed on a series of bends especially when riding uphill. The suspension is now improved to handle bad roads in a better way and provides a decent balance. Brakes of the Avenger were always good as also the grip from the tyres and the 150 Street carries these traits.
Bajaj Avenger 150 Street Top Speed
The Bajaj Avenger 150 Street has a top speed of about 115 km/hr. This bike has been tuned for better torque than top speed. It has good response that makes it easy to cruise.
