Skoda Rapid’s key comes with a lock, unlock and boot open feature. While the overall design of the car looks pretty dated, it has aged quite well in its segment. Multiple chrome elements present throughout the exteriors add a contrasting character to the sedan. The Skoda Rapid yellow headlight throw and spread is one of the best in its segment. 116mm of laden ground clearance is quite decent and sufficient for modern Indian roads.
R16 wheels are quite good but the tires are a bit narrow for the sedan’s size. The paint quality is also pretty decent with the sedan. The overall build quality is also commendable.
Interior of the sedan
The Skoda Rapid comes with a dual-tone interior with black and beige colours. The interior are pretty simple and basic with minimalistic styling and will not go out of style for a long time. The build quality of the interiors too is impressive. Both tilt and telescoping steering wheel adjustment is present in the higher-spec variant of the sedan. Steering mounted controls and touchscreen infotainment system surely add a modern touch to the car. The reverse parking camera is also one of the best in its segment.

The Music system quality is also decent but not the best. Multiple charging points are also present. The seat comfort is quite good and is ideal for long trips. Three adults can easily sit in the rear of the car with enough headroom and legroom. Rear AC vents from the base variant itself is a great inclusion. Ingress and Egress is pretty comfortable with the sedan.
Conclusion about the Skoda Rapid
The Skoda Rapid costs between Rs.7.49 lakh and Rs.13.29 lakh. The lower variants of the sedan are much more value for money proposition on the whole. It comes in 11 variants with a single BS6 turbo petrol engine which provides great performance and efficiency, giving best of both worlds.
Both manual and automatic transmission is also present in the car. Standard safety features are also available from the base variant itself. You can always opt- for the Skoda Rapid if you want a no-nonsense car.
