The customer’s second favourite

Ford EcoSport in Tata Nexon Owner's Review

The Ford Ecosport as mentioned above was the customer’s second choice behind Nexon.  The owner went ahead with Nexon because of multiple reasons. The first one being better rear-seat comfort in Nexon.  The customer also loved the music system with the Tata Nexon.  No touchscreen system was available but the customer did not care.

Tata Nexon Owner's Review

The customer loves to drive the car. He also said that he once drove the car straight for 10 hours.  Three driving modes with the Nexon greatly help in the mileage department. Eco mode for long journey promises a highway mileage of up to 27kmpl. The sports mode and city mode are decent too.  The city mode mileage is about 18kmpl.

What about service and maintenance

The overall experience of the customer with the Tata service centre has been very good and positive.  Follow-up after the sale of the car is also a highly respectable feature.  The servicing experience of the customer is also good. Sometimes he has to push the service people on a rare basis. The yearly maintenance cost is around Rs.3500 to Rs.4000. More about Tata Nexon Owner’s Review below.

What about the cons of the car

Tata Nexon KRAZ front

The clutch length is a small issue with the Nexon. Second to their gear shift feels a little jerky.  The issue becomes quite normal after you get used to the car. If the clutch length gets shorter, the issue can be permanently solved.  Sometimes reverse gear also does not engage on the first try.  The front pillar though contributes to the tough build quality and safety of the car leads to blind spot in some conditions.

Goodness and Conclusion

Tata-Nexon Tata Nexon Owner's Review

The customer is very much impressed with the 260Nm of torque with the Diesel Tata Nexon.  Higher torque leads to less gear shifts.  You can easily cross speed breakers in the city in the third gear itself.  Low-speed pickup is also impressive.  Less gear shifts transform the manual to near-automatic experience.  If given the chance to travel to the past and choose a car again, the customer will happily once again buy the Tata Nexon Diesel.  The customer also rates himself very happy and recommends this car to anyone with a similar budget.
