The Italian motorcycle brand Benelli has been fighting hard to make its presence felt in the Indian market and has been bringing in a range of product offerings that cater to a variety of segments. This time around, DSK Benelli has plans to bring their 150cc motorcycle – TNT15 to India and make a dent in the popular 150cc segment.
The Benelli TNT15 is a naked motorcycle which sports a 148cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces around 16 bhp of power. It has a well-sculpted tank, split seats, six-spoke alloy wheels and front disc brakes. This bike will look at adding some more style quotient to the 150cc segment.
The current 150cc segment has been shaken up recently with the launch of the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha Fazer and Pulsar AS150. Benelli will try to grab a share of this pie, having made considerable success in its higher capacity bikes like the TNT600 and TNT300.
Both these bikes have become quite popular amongst motorcycle enthusiasts.
Benelli is taking the top-down approach and its strategy looks good.
It has created a pull towards its brand by launching its performance machines earlier and now getting into the mass market. Expect the TNT15 to hit Indian roads in early 2016.
