Jaguar’s F-Type now available in India with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine

Until now the F-Type from Jaguar’s stable was available in the two engine options of a V6 and a V8.

Originally debuted as an open top roadster, the car then got the hard-top coupe version. And finally there came the super bonkers SVR edition of the F-Type. But this was not enough.

The F-Type is now available with another option in India. The Jaguar F-Type line-up now starts with the option of a four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine.

 Jaguar F-Type New Dynamics

The car has now lost 52kgs. That is a significant weight loss. The weight loss is mostly over the front axle where there is a smaller engine now. The four-cylinder engine makes roughly around 300bhp, which is enough grunt for the car to reach up to a top speed of 250km/h. The chassis has been meticulous tuned to complement the new engine.

The new engine according to Jaguar delivers even greater steering response, body control and ride comfort. A finely-tuned active exhaust is standard on entry-level F-TYPE models, while the R-Dynamic variants feature a switchable active exhaust for an even more involving driving experience.

Apart from the weight reduction the car is not changed any of its dimensions when it comes to its height, length and width.
