Leading automaker Hyundai Motors has planned and announced the launch of eight new products in India by 2020.

Such a statement shows great commitment to the Indian market from the Korean giant.

“We will expand and strengthen our product line with eight new launches equipped with new technologies out of which, three will be new segment products and five will be full model change, apart from regular product enhancements and facelifts,” said Y K Koo, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India.

During the National Dealer Conference in Seoul, South Korea, Hyundai Motors had announced new products for the Indian market from 2017-2020 for a strong market leadership with sustainable growth. Besides introduction of new models, the company will introduce new technologies in the Indian market such as “mild” and “full” hybrid, “automatic manual transmission” and “turbo gasoline engine.

” With the mention of the AMT, we can expect the Santro category to make a comeback in the Hyundai line-up. The second all-new product is expected to be an sub-four meter SUV. This vehicle will most likely sit below the Creta. There will also be an electric compact SUV, the Kona. Since it will be an electric vehicle it is expected to be more expensive than the Creta.

Hyundai’s second half of 2017 started with the launch of the new Verna and 2018 brought in the facelift of the i20 and the Creta which are turning out to become successful products for the company. As for now the cars which might be getting a completely new model are the Xcent, Grand i10, i20 and the Creta. The Elantra and Verna are right now the most up to date models in the Hyundai line-up. And as time goes by there is an expectation of many new products will be launched quickly.
