2019 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 likely to get ABS, rear disc brake

The 2019 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 will be launched next year. The Avenger Street 180 was launched earlier this year. It will be one year since the launch of this bike. The Avenger Street 180 mainly competes with the Suzuki Intruder and Bajaj will try to keep it competitive.  The 2019 Avenger Street 180 is expected to get some new features. The bike will be offered with with ABS and will also get a rear disc brake. India’s best selling cruiser motorcycle, the Avenger has created a niche for itself. The 180 has been received quite well and is a good value, however, the Intruder, though at a a higher price point, offers more features. Now customers are demanding more from this brand and Bajaj has to keep up with it. The 220 cc Avenger comes in Street and Cruise variants, however, the 180 has only the Street. This is the bike which Bajaj is focussing upon.

The Avenger 180 was created from the 150cc. Not only was the engine new, but it also came with revised styling. A new headlamp, taillamp, vizor, seat and grab handles added more panache to the cruiser bike. The 2019 Avenger Street 180 will continue to have these features. The price will also be aggressive. This bike is expected to be launched by late 2019. This updated bike will come after one year of its introduction. It will be a better value this time and will offer most desired features to customers.

The Bajaj Avenger Street 180 will be priced  at ₹ 92,000 (on-road, Maharashtra), for the standard version. The ABS version will cost about ₹ 96,000. The bike will be better value for money this time.

The mileage of this bike is expected to be around 40 km/l. This will be same as the current bike. There will not be any change in it. The bike will offer a good balance between performance and efficiency.

2019 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 Design

The design of the bike will remain unchanged. The graphics may see some more vibrance and a new body colour will be introduced. Mostly it will be a silver colour.  The headlamp will be the same unit, which also has a vizor above it.The oblong shaped headlamp has an LED daytime running light placed at the bottom. The bike will look identical to the current model. The tank, seat, alloy wheels will all be carried over from the existing model.

The tailamp will also be the same, but it may be an LED bulb inside. There will be no change in the exhaust as well. The new graphics will make it look different, cosmetically.The street will have hardly any chrome on it. instead of chrome, use of brushed aluminum finish will be made. The front mudguard will get an ABS sticker, which will differentiate the bike. Another distinguishing factor would be the rear disc brake.

2019 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 Specifications

The 2019 Avenger Street 180 will be powered by the same 180cc engine. This engine has around 15.3bhp of power and 13.7 Nm of torque. The engine is a refined one and also feels smooth while riding. The power build up is also linear in nature.

The exhaust will sound deep. This engine is torquey and is very easy to ride in the city. A 5-speed gearbox will come mated to this engine. There will not be any change in this department.
