Triumph Motorcycles, the British marquee has launched its latest adventure-tourer, the 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 in the country at Rs.17 lakhs (ex-showroom). This bike is the most advanced motorcycle in Triumph’s range. The bike has now over 100 updates.Thi is the most powerful Tiger. The Tiger 1200 is fitted with a 1215cc engine and it belts out 139bhp of power and 122 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed transmission comes mated to the engine and this is a manual box. It also gets bi-directional quickshifters, to make the riding experience even better. There is not much of a styling change in the bike. It mainly gets LED DRLs and a LED headlight in the newer version.

2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 Specifications

The 2018 Triumph Tiger 200 gets a 1215cc engine which has 139bhp of power and 122 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed transmission comes mated to the engine and is a manual unit. It also gets bi-directional quickshifters.

2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 Suspension and Brakes

The Triumph Tiger 1200 has 48 mm upside down front forks which are electronically adjustable. It has a WP monoshock at the rear. For the braking duty,  it gets twin 305 mm Brembo disc brakes at the front and at the rear, it gets a single 282 mm Nissin disc.

The bike comes with a saddle height of 855 mm, which can be reduced by 20 mm, making it 835mm. The new 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 is 10 kgs lighter than the outgoing one. In terms of styling, it gets a new bodywork, new cast and spoked wheels, a new metalised tank badge and redesigned graphics.

India will get only the XCx variant. 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 competes with Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro, BMW R 1200 GS and the upcoming Ducati Multistrada 1260.
