Unregistered Maruti Dzire crashes in city

A brand new, unregistered Maruti Dzire was involved in an accident with an auto rickshaw. The incident took place in Cochin, Kerala. It seems that the auto rickshaw plying ahead of the car, took a sudden turn and the Dzire crashed in to it. The impact seems to be not very severe, however the front portion of the car is damaged, including the front right side wheel. The wheel joint seems to have broken due to the impact of the collision. However, the good part is that nobody has been injured.

The Dzire which was heading on the road, had to brake when the auto rickshaw swerved suddenly. It has been raining in Cochin and the road was wet as well. This could be a reason why the driver could have lost control. However, the Dzire comes with ABS as standard across all time levels, so it is less likely to have skidded. On the contrary, there is not much damage on the auto rickshaw, except a plastic fender broken.

The Dzire is an all new car and comes with many safety features including dual airbags, ABS and ISOFIX seats across all variants. While cars are getting more safety equipments, the question we need to ask ourselves is whether we are being responsible drivers? Keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead is imperative and can avoid such accidents, that seem to occur on a daily basis, across the country. The car here in question was an unregistered car, which was damaged. The Maruti Dzire seemed to be going to a dealership from the stockyard. The damage to the car happened only around the area of impact. The right side headlamp, bumper and the right-side wheel, along with the suspension got badly damaged. The front grille and left side headlamp were intact. The car had to be towed out of the way, to clear traffic.
