Hero MotorCorp has declared that 2019 Hero Xpulse 200 will be their next big launch at EICMA where it was last shown. The bike was launched on 1st May. The most exciting part about it is that Hero is targeting the bikes price under ₹ 1 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, it will be cheaper than the RE Himalayan by one lakh. The Xpulse is an indigenous product, manufactured in India and will be a revolution in affordable adventure biking. It has been under development for quite some time. The EICMA 2017 saw the first unveil of this bike. The Auto Expo 2018 had an improvised version showcased. The production version shown last year at EICMA has all of us waiting for the launch. The bike was one of the attractions at the show.

The Xpulse 200 was launched on 1st May. This bike caters to entry-level adventure enthusiasts. This bike has been developed by Hero MotoCorp in India, locally. From today the delivaries of this bike have begun and it long await is finally over

We have already reported earlier that Hero will begin the deliveries from the first week of June onward. The good news is that the Xpulse 200 and the 200T have finally reached the showrooms across India and the authorized Hero dealers have also commenced the deliveries of these motorcycles recently.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Impulse a few years back. This was derived from Honda. his time it is an indigenous effort by the company and the Xpulse 200 is expected to exceed customer expectations. It is slated to be a genuine off-road/touring machine. Hero wants to provide an affordable bike to its customers. The bike has been designed keeping this in mind. It also will be good for daily commuting. Almost every manufacturer is looking at this segment, be it BMW, Bajaj & KTM or even Honda. Soon there will be many adventure touring bikes in the market, which is now having very few options.

It will have a 200cc engine which will be powerful and will also have more features. It will also get fuel injection. The air-cooled, single-cylinder engine will churn our 18bhp of power and around 17Nm of torque. The bike will have good low-end torque, which will help it overcome difficult terrains. There will be a 5-speed gearbox on offer. The Xpulse 200 will not focus on top speed, rather it will be all about good torque and ride-ability.

2019 Hero Xpulse 200 Suspension and Brakes

A high tensile steel diamond frame underpins this off-road adventure bike. The 2019 Hero Xpulse 200 will have a high ground clearance of about 220 mm. The front sees a long travel telescopic fork and the rear has a monoshock with 10-step adjustment. The front has a disc brake in and so does the rear. The bike will be fitted with tubeless on/off road tyres. ABS also will be offered on this bike with a single channel unit, due to the price if the bike being low.

Hero Xpulse 200 Design

This new bike will be the replacement for the Impulse, in India. The Hero Xpulse will get off-road tyres, a bigger wind protector and higher ground clearance than the Impulse. This new bike will be riding on CEAT tyres. The LED headlamp is round and has a large windscreen. The fuel tank is simplistic in design and has a flush-fitting cap. The seat will be well cushioned and not sharply raking the rear end. This will make it comfortable for the pillion.

2019 Hero Xpulse 200 Features

The 2019 Hero Xpulse 200 will come with good amount of features. It will be fitted with a  full-LED headlamp and a tall windscreen for wind deflection. The front mudguard is a high set one. Standard features will also include knuckle guards, engine skid plate, high set exhaust muffler for better water wading, dual-purpose tyres and spoked wheels. A fully digital instrument cluster will be fitted here and will also offer navigation.

2019 Hero Xpulse Top Speed

The top speed of the 2019 Hero Xpulse 200 is expected to be around 120 km/h. This bike will focus on rideability rather than top speed.

The bike will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW 310 GS. Both these bikes are more expensive than the XPulse 200. It will also compete with the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. There is no bike for proper off-road and touring segment with a 200cc capacity and the Hero’s stellar price range.
