Aprilia SR 125 vs Honda Grazia Design

This is an where there is a big difference in these two scooters. The Honda Grazia is a premium looking scooter and is larger then the SR 125. It looks modern and has quite sharp styling. The headlamp is situated on the front panel and it also has daytime running lamps. The Grazia has a 12-inch wheel at the front and the rear comes with a 10-inch wheel. The seat is broad and even long enough to seat two person with ease. The seat is very comfortable too. Ther eis a Grazia branding in 3D, on the side panel. The taillamp is a big one and had turn indicators attached to it. Over all it has a pleasing design and it looks pretty luxurious.

On the other hand the Aprilia SR 125 has a very sporty styling, The body graphocs ar also attractive. The design is same as its bigger sibling- the SR 150. This scooter has got eye-catching looks. The headlamp sits on the front panel and the turn indicators are on the handlebar. There are no daytime running lights on this one. The Aprilia SR 125 gets 14-inch wheels at the front and also the rear. This is a tall scooter so short riders may have a problem. The seat is slim and just adequate for sitting.

Both scooters get almost similar storage space under the seat, where a half helmet can fit in. So both scooters are good looking, however, we give higher marks to the Aprilia SR 125 here, for its more balanced design.

The Honda Grazia is the more feature loaded scooter amogst the two. In fact, the Grazia had set benchmarks in this segment when launched. It gets a fully digital instrument cluster, as opposed to the SR125, which has a basic analogue speedometer with a fuel guage. Ther are no tripmeters also on it. Features like remote seat opening switch, LED lamps make the Grazia a more convenient scooter for daily usage.

Both these scooters are good performers. But they both have a different pattern when it comes to performance.he Honda Grazia has a better initial acceleration. The engine feels punchy and it  shoots off from the word ‘Go’. On the other hand the Aprilia SR 125 is a slow starter in comparison. It doesn’t feel as punchy as the Grazia but the speed builds up graduallly. On a flat out run, The Grazia remains ahead till about 68 km/h, after which the SR 125 takes over. The Aprilia has a higher top speed and races upto 110km/h, where the Honda Grazia reaches its pinnacle at 85 km/h. This is where the Aprilia SR 125 scores. The Grazia is better for city riding as it is faster amongst the two at average regular riding speeds.

This is an area where both scooters shine. The Grazia has a good and soft ride. It is a comfortable scooter, with a large seat and is easy to ride in the city.

The Aprilia SR 125 on the other hand has got a harsher ride. However, it compensates in the handling department. The SR 125 has got fantastic dynamics and it excels in the way it behaves. The braking also is very good. So for practical purposes it is the Grazia which is better, but for a fun ride, the Aprilia shines.
