Renault Duster catches fire in Mumbai

A Renault Duster plying on the road at Andheri, Mumbai caught fire in broad daylight. The SUV was abandoned as soon as the fire broke out and nobody was hurt. The cause of the fire is unknown, however, we expect an electrical fault which may have triggered the fire.

A water tanker was immediately called from somewhere nearby and the fire was doused.

However, by then most of the vehicle was burnt and damaged by fire.

As seen in the pics, the entire traffic had come to a standstill. This incident happened under the Andheri flyover on the busy Western Express Highway. This area is always bustling with heavy traffic. The good part is that there were no casualties and the driver too came out safely.

The traffic police swing into action and halted the traffic at a safe distance from the Duster that caught fire.

The traffic police were themselves spring water from the taker to douse the fire. The fire incidence became a spectacle for any passerby and there were people gathered on the flyover to see the burning SUV. The Renault Duster is a reliable SUV and such an incidence is a one of case. We haven’t heard of many Dusters catching fire.
