Volkswagen Vento Sport launching shortly

The Volkswagen Vento Sport will be launched soon. The pictures of this car have just been revealed. The Vento Sport will come with some cosmetic upgrades. The company has introduced this variant without much fanfare. The price for the same is yet to be announced. The Vento Sport is similar to the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo edition, launched last year. The Volkswagen Vento has come under a lot of pressure lately, owing to new launches in its segments, like the Hyundai Verna and the updated Honda City. What all will the Vento Sport have? Volkswagen Vento Sport Launch Date

The Vento Sport will be launched this month. The cars will soon be available in showrooms across the country. The prices have not yet been revealed and will be known soon.

Volkswagen Vento Sport Price in India

The Vento Sport will be available on the Highline Plus trim.  Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus starts at ₹ 12.93 lakhs for the petrol and ₹ 14.88 lakhs for the diesel (on-road). The Vento Sport will be priced at about  ₹ 50,000 more than the regular Highline Plus variant.

Volkswagen Vento Sport Features

The Volkswagen Vento Sport will come with new features which will include:

• New Metallic Red colour
• Black finished grille
• Black glossy roof
• Carbon-fibre finished ORVMs
• Chrome ‘Sport’ badging on the fenders
• Black side decals
• Rear spoiler in black colour
• 16-inch Portage alloy wheels
• Colour-coded interior trim

There will be a new metallic red colour offered. This is different from the earlier red available in the Vento. Cosmetic changes such as a black roof and a black spoiler will be offered. Sport badging is clearly visible on the front fenders. the carbon-fibre finish ORVMs make the car look sportier.

The interiors will have a colour-coded trim. All the features of the Highline variant will be offers, such as LED headlamps with daytime running lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, electrically foldable ORVMs, a touchscreen infotainment system, reverse camera and also MirrorLink connectivity. The VW Vento offers dual airbags and ABS as standard on all variants.

Volkswagen Vento Sport Specifications

The Volkswagen Vento Sport will not see any change to its powertrain. The same 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine will be used here. This churns out 103bhp of power and is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. The other petrol engine is the 1.6-litre unit which also has 103bhp and is available with a  5-speed manual transmission. A 1.5-litre TDI diesel unit is also offered. This engine belts out 108bhp of power and is available with a 5-speed manual and also a7-speed DSG transmission.

Volkswagen Vento Sport Competiton

The VW Vento Sport will compete with the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo edition. It will also fight the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. The Vento Sport adds some more excitement for buyers looking to buy a sedan in this segment.
