Luxury cars of Nirav Modi Seized

One person making headlines these days is Nirav Modi, who has been allegedly involved in the PNB scam. The Enforcement Directorate has seized 8 luxury cars of Nirav Modi. These cars include a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Mercedes Benz GL, a Mercedes-Benz CLS, a Porsche Panamera, three luxury Honda cars and a Toyota Fortuner. While the ED has frozen mutual funds and shares worth INR 94.52 crore between Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi groups, the seizure of Nirav Modi’s cars is also making news. Let’s see which are some of these cars are and how much do they cost.

Rolls Royce Ghost of Nirav Modi – Price INR 5.2 crores

The most talked about car is the Rolls Royce Ghost which costs around INR 5.2 crores. This is one of the most expensive cars sold in India.

This car is powered by a 6.6-litre, V12 twin-turbo engine that belts out a tremendous 560 bhp and 780 Nm of torque. This car also has a 8-speed automatic transmission. It is a feature loaded car that predicts the road conditions and adjusts the suspension and gear ratios accordingly.

Porsche Panamera of Nirav Modi – Price INR 2 crores

The Porsche Panamera is a four door sports sedan from Porsche, which is one of its kind and the first four door car from the German sports car manufacturer. The car owned by Nirav Modi is now replaced by a newer version. The Panamera combines luxury motoring with the feel of a sports car.

Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 of Nirav Modi – Price INR 83 lakhs

Known as one of the most luxurious SUVs, the Mercedes-Benz GLS is a highly desired SUV by many. A 3-litre, V6 engine powers this huge SUV.It puts out a power of 257bhp and has a peak torque of 620Nm. A modern 9-speed dual-clutch transmission from ZF does duty on this one. The SUV offers a lot of space, features, electronic aids and has great off-roading capabilities.

Mercedes-Benz CLS of Nirav Modi – Price INR 75 lakhs

The Mercedes-Benz CLS is a mean looking Merc. The car owned by Nirav Modi is a generation old. It has been replaced by a new one now. The new CLS has a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 204bhp of power and an immense 500Nm of torque. The CLS is a sporty Mercedes which is a head turner.

Honda CR-V of Nirav Modi – Price INR 26 lakhs

Nirvana Modi also owns a Honda CR-V. Honda’s popular softroader, this SUV has been very popular in India. This is a the CR-V which is currently sold in India. Honda has also showcased the new CR-V at the Auto Expo, which will be launched soon.

That would be a seven-seater SUV.

The CR-V offers very good comfort and is a convenient SUV to use.

There would be more as well, the details of which are currently unknown. The ED (Enforcement Directorate) is also seeking other information from foreign countries which will give insights into business operations of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.
