Hero Duet 125 i3S teased before launch

Hero Motocorp has unveiled the Hero Duet 125 i3S at the Auto Expo 2018. The scooter is launching soon and has been teased by Hero. The Hero Duet 125 is fitted with a new 125cc, single cylinder petrol engine. The Hero Duet has seen good success and hence the company has decided to enter the 125cc scooter arena. There is a shift happening towards this segment many customers are looking to upgrade to 125cc segment. Hero MotoCorp aims to make the best of this. Hero Duet 125 Price

The Hero Duet 125 is expected to cost around ₹60,000 (on-road). This scooter will be priced lower than the Hero Maestro Edge 125. It will compete with the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125. We’ll bring you more on the pricing as soon as it is launched

Hero Duet 125 Launch Date in India

The Duet 125 is expected to be launched next month. The scooter has already been unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018. It will start reaching dealerships by next month and that is when the price will be announced.

Hero Duet 125cc Mileage

The Hero Duet 125 is expected to return a mileage of around 50 km/l in regular riding conditions. It may return up to 55 km/l on the highway.

Hero Duet 125 Design

The Duet 125 gets a full metal body like the Activa 125. The scooter looks identical to the regular Duet 110cc. However, it gets some more styling cues which make it look premium. The Hero Duet 125 i3S looks more attractive. There are silver accents and large turn indicators placed on the front. The headlamp has a clear lens. An i3S branding sticker is placed on the front of this scooter.

There is a dual tone seat texture and seat size is big enough. There are telescopic shock-absorbers on the front. It also gets a combi brake system. There are no disc brake on this scooter. Both front and rear wheels get drum brakes. we hope when it’s launched, Hero keeps a variant with disc brakes too. From the side, the duet is plain looking. The rear portion looks much better and is attractive too. The exhaust and wheels are colored in black and there is a silver colored shield on the exhaust as well. A silver colored full grab rail is present at the rear. This is very convenient to hold and comfortable too. The side panel has chrome accents that make it look more premium.

Hero Duet 125 Specification

The Hero Duet gets a 125cc engine with a peak power of 8.7bhp and a torque of 10.2Nm. This scooter comes fitted with i3S technology, which automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle is at a stop position, for example at a traffic signal. The engine fires back on when the throttle is twisted. Thus, it saves fuel by turning off the engine when idling.
