Renault Kwid Superhero Edition launched

Renault has launched Kwid Superhero edition today. This is a limited edition version of the Kwid and it has the colour theme based on the Marvel edition. What does it have on offer? Renault Kwid has been coming in multiple new trims and editions.

The first to begin this series was the Kwid Climber, followed by the 02 Anniversary Edition and now the Marvel. The Superhero edition has been priced at Rs 4.32 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are two trims, Captain America and Iron Man. The bookings start at Rs 9,999. 

These are all majorly cosmetic add-ons on the Kwid. Renault hasn’t changed any thing in the vehicle’s mechanicals or shape or dimensions. So, what is new on the Kwid Marvel Edition?

Nothing except the colours and the stickers. There are some changes on the inside too, but these are also majorly with the upholstery.

The Kwid comes with 800cc and 1.0-litre petrol engine options. These vehicles are offered with five-speed manual transmission and the bigger engine comes with an option of five-speed AMT too. The SuperHero edition will come only with the 1.0-litre petrol engine. 

How is the Kwid different? It goes up against the Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and the Datsun redi-Go. This is the longest of the lot, offers maximum cabin space and the biggest boot in its class. The Kwid was also the first vehicle in its segment that offered digital instrument cluster and touchscreen system with navigation. Reverse parking sensors were introduced from the 02 Anniversary Edition model. Renault has been adding multiple new editions to the Kwid in every few months. And it seems to be working well for the brand.
