By 2020, Hyundai is looking at launching nine car models in the Indian car market. This means 2018, 2019 and 2020 purely. Now, the brand hasn’t revealed if this is all new models or will it include facelifts too. From what we understand it should be the latter option. By that going, the Hyundai brand will be getting the Elite i20 facelift, Creta facelift and the new-generation Santro 2018 will come in this year. The i20 facelift will get a new petrol automatic.

There will be no 1.4-litre petrol auto. This will be replaced by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with CVT. The Santro will be an all new hatchback. Hyundai will be completing 20 years and celebrating it this October. Hence, it will be called by the same name.

In 2019, there shall be the new-generation vehicles and even an electric option. We reckon Hyundai is still to confirm if it will get the Ioniq electric or the Kona electric. but one of them will make its way into the Indian car market by 2019. Hyundai has set its focus on getting multiple new vehicle in the Indian car market. The drama doesn’t end there. The all new QXi mini SUV will be coming in too.

This will go up against the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and the Ford Ecosport. This will be a major major product for the brand for Indian car market.
