Honda WRV Automatic in the making, more features on the petrol – EXCLUSIVE

Honda WRV Automatic is in the making. Honda has higher number of buyers for the WR-V but it seems some have to settle for the Jazz as there isn’t an automatic available. At the moment, the Honda WR-V is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with revised gearing ratios for its 5-speed manual transmission.

Then there is also the Jazz with the same engine offering five-speed manual and CVT options.

We have learnt that has been a good amount of buyers who are preferring the WR-V over the Jazz as it offers more features and the butch SUV-kinda look. Honda buyers prefer the petrol engine on the WR-V due to minimal driving and many potential buyers are disappointed.

This is due to the fact that this is no automatic on offer on the WR-V and buyers have to settle in for the Jazz. There are some petrol buyers who are disappointed that the petrol WR-V doesn’t have push start and stop and also no cruise control.

Honda WRV Automatic Specifications

At the moment, the final testing is going on for the WR-V automatic. It will come with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine churning about 89bhp of power and 112Nm of torque.

There will be no 1.5-litre as it will increase the price and taxes will also see a jump. So, no plans to get the 1.5-litre petrol. The 1.2-litre engine will have the same CVT box, but it will see a different final drive ratio for better performance.
