TVS to launch two scooters in early 2018

TVS Motors is looking at getting two new scooters in the Indian market by early 2018. This is likely to be by early 2018. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is launched the Apache RR 310S on 6th December. This is the new 311cc motorbike that will have the TVS Racing pedigree and the company’s new flagship model. The new bike will be offered with an all new engine and a brand-new chassis too.

TVS is working on two new scooters. One will be a 125cc scooter, which is likely to come with AMT. This will be an all new scooter and the first to offer such a technology. This scooter will have good performance and maybe could even challenge a 150cc scooter as well.

The TVS brand is looking at enhancing its portfolio and the company is looking at innovation. We aren’t certain if it will be the Jupiter 125, more on the lines of the Graphite. This is an all new exciting scooter for the Indian market and something that can change the market game for performance also. So, this could be the scooter that could go up against the Aprilia SR150, with a lower price tag. The other scooter will be an all new electric one. TVS will be the first player to get an electric scooter into the Indian market amongst the major players. Even Hero is working on an electric scooter and Duet-E was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. We aren’t sure on the range, performance and pricing of this new scooter.

There are no details on this, and we will have to wait till March 2018 to know more details about these scooters. TVS could show both its new scooters at the 2018 Auto Expo. Launch is expected by March-April 2018.
