The Benelli Leoncino Scrambler has been spied for the first time by one of our readers. This bike is scheduled to be launched next month. The Benelli Leoncino is a 500 cc twin-cylinder motorcycle. It has the same engine that also powers the TRK 502, which was expected to be launched this year, but will now be launched next year. The Leoncino will be an affordable middleweight scrambler that will be in a league of its own. Benelli will launch the on-road version of this bike in India. However, this bike will be capable of some light off-roading. What is the Benelli Leoncino all about?
We reckon this bike should be displayed at the 2018 Auto Expo. We aren’t certain if Benelli is participating in the event, but the new bike will be coming in sometime around it. The bike is priced at Rs. 4.79 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, India).This bike does not have a direct rival but can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Ducati Scrambler. This will make a good option for those who are looking at a powerful and fun bike.
Benelli Leoncino Scrambler Specifications
The engine has a max power of 47 bhp at 8500 rpm and generates 45 Nm of peak torque at 4500 rpm. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension setup is made up of 50 mm USD forks up front and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock unit at the rear. The front and rear brakes are the same as the TRK 502. These are 320 mm dual discs at the front and a 260 mm single disc.
